 Generation Y - major investors in crypt currencies


Sustany Capital's specialists conducted a study and found that millenniums are more interested in bitcoin and other cryptov currencies than representatives of other generations.



 Generation Y or millenniums are people born after 1981 and have met the new millennium at a young age. The main feature of this generation is its deep involvement in digital technology.


Sustany Capital said that more than 88% of the millenniums in the U.S. want to invest in cryptov currencies. However, this data does not coincide with the recently published results of Finder.com, where the same figure is 17%.


Sustany Capital's experts estimate the potential percentage of millenniums that want to add cryptovolves to their portfolio.


Their sample consisted of 1000 adult Americans, some of whom are convinced that cryptovalue can be a good investment for them. Of all those surveyed, 25% of adults had a superficial idea of Blockchain technology.


Also during the study it became known that some college students (more than 21%) invest their scholarships and student loans in Bitcoin and other cryptov currencies.


"It is very risky to use student loans for cryptocurrency investments, because they have higher interest rates and stricter repayment terms compared to federal student loans," - the study notes.

According to Forbes, millenials are investing in cryptocurrency funds to secure their pensions. However, it is interesting that the report of the National Institute for Retirement Security (NIRS) said about 95% of the millenniums in America have no strategy for future savings.
